At Cooper Energy Engineering, we have access to the latest tools and design practices to make sure that you can get the best design from your land, whatever stage the project is at.
We use the latest CAD tools and packages, combined with over 1.2GW design experience across more than 200 projects, to make sure that your design is relevant and buildable, maximising revenue and minimising on-site and planning risks.
For solar park developers, following a design consultation in which we determine your objectives, design parameters and preferred suppliers, we will model your project in full 3D, complete with shading analysis, construction logistics, constraints and support structures. Because we also work with EPCs, our engineers have a thorough understanding of construction requirements, so your proposal will be as ready-to-build as possible.
This design can then be readily imported into PVSyst to create a bankable yield model for your investment prospectus.
With early-stage projects we can produce quick and low-cost scoping designs where necessary to estimate capacity and provide quick supporting illustrations for initial conversations with planners and landowners.
In support of our park layouts, we can also produce a suite of anciliary drawings and documents. These can be selected by the developer as required for the planning process, but often includes building elevations, sections through fields, shading diagrams, block plans, flythroughs, renders and others.
Likewise Land Registry-compliant drawings are available for lease and wayleave / easement agreements.
For EPCs and installer firms, we can follow through on this design process and produce full construction packs. Please see our Design page for more information.
