Yield Studies & Performance Modelling

Solar PV and Energy Storage are capital-intensive projects, and at all stages of a project it is important to keep a close eye on its long-term performance potential
Opting for the largest installation is rarely the best solution. To get the most from your investment the design should be tuned to specific site conditions. This can’t be done without a good model of how it will perform.

CEE can use a state-of-the-art engineering suite to model your installation or proposal in detailed 3D, incorporating all aspects of the project from equipment specification to wiring routes, from shading to ageing effects. Our in-house tools, developed through extensive experience in the industry, can then build a detailed picture of how your whole site should perform.
Once a model is set up, we can compare potential design scenarios, or we can investigate individual specific parameters in detail (e.g. array pitch or battery capacity), optimise them for the site and inform your tender process. Likewise, we can advise on sensitivity to weather or climate expectations.

Reactive Power Flows

As well as energy yield, commercial operators also need to consider reactive power flows: Few installers realise that PV & ES default to generating active power only, so when generating you may incur substantial power factor penalties. If modelled properly, this can be mitigated or avoided entirely

Operating Installations

Once your system is operating, we can run comparative models between expected and actual yields and confirm that it is performing as expected.

If there are discrepancies, we have the technical knowledge to tell you what to do about it.
