James Cooper - Director and Senior Engineer

James has been an engineer in the photovoltaic and small-wind industries since 2006. Before founding CEE, he had been appointed the Senior Engineer at two national installation firms. James has extensive experience in designing large photovoltaic systems, and has taken a project manager role on contracts valued to £1million. He has worked on systems in the UK and overseas, and has produced feasibility studies and due diligence reports for various clients. Previous projects include the layout and DC electrical design for a 50MWp solar park in western England, a technical study for Bristol City Council’s sheltered housing PV roll-out, and an 800kW grid-hybrid feasibility study on a Kenyan tea plantation. James is an Advisor to the IET's E&T Reference team in the area of Solar Power, and he has also corresponded on the current MCS PV design guide and OFGEM’s Distributed Generation Working Group. |
